Carlene Verona Battiste-Downie
Life produces many challenges across the spectrum of our lives and often unexpectedly creates chaos and turmoil in our personal, professional, and social life. The ability to cope can be very demanding and can require some form of support in a safe space that is understanding and non-judgmental, allowing you to begin the process of growth, healing, and change.
As a licensed clinical social worker, my ultimate goals are to help clients tap into their experiences, strength, and resources to foster resilience and meaningful life quality. In my practice, I utilize various therapeutic techniques by integrating evidence-based principles that support treatment modalities working with a diverse population, including individuals, children, adolescents, couples, Veterans, and families.
I conduct thorough assessments and collaborates with clients to implement treatment interventions for a range of emotional and behavioral concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma (post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD), anger, grief and loss, and school/work-related stress. Working in collaboration, we can uncover the quality of life you deserve! A life where you can embrace yourself and balance things within your control.
